The following charters and guides have made themselves available for bookings through BJ Sports, Inc..  All captains running charters on the Great Lakes are required to be licensed by the US Coast Guard.  These licenses have all been verified.

You can choose from:

  • Cottage rental at the Berrien Springs Dam

  • Lake Michigan trout, salmon, perch

  • Lake Erie walleye, smallmouth

  • St. Joe River trout, salmon, walleye, smallmouth

  • Inland Lake musky, pike, largemouth bass, panfish

  • Northern Indiana ducks, geese

  • Southwestern Michigan ducks, geese, deer, turkey

If you would like to book a date, either come into the store, call 269-408-8398, or send email letting us know the state in which you wish to hunt or fish, the type of hunting or fishing you wish to do, the number of persons in your party, and three (3) dates in order of preference.  If you have a preference, be sure to name the specific guide or charter you wish to use.  Otherwise we will contact each appropriate outfit listed until we find one that can accommodate your request, hopefully on your first choice of date.

If you come to the store, we will collect a $100.00 deposit before beginning to contact charters.  This deposit will be applied toward your charter when one has been found (we will try to have you booked before the end of that business day), or refunded to you in full if we are unable to get you a reservation within one week.  The balance will be due to the charter captain in the form of cash the morning of your trip.  Any gratuities you choose to give should be given directly to the captain or first mate.

If you call or email, we will not book your trip until we receive your deposit.  You may bring it in or send a check or money order via the US Postal Service.  We will begin contacting charters immediately if you send a money order or as soon as your check clears.  Once a date has been reserved, we will send you all pertinent contact information for your captain and send him your information as well.

NOTE:  Any comments or suggestions you may have after your trip regarding any facet of your trip should be directed to the specific charter or guide service.  That being said, we at BJ Sports would also like to hear how your trip went so don't hesitate to contact us with a report.
