BJ Sports
recently coined this term to replace the demeaning word
'minnow'. After many years of research (or perhaps
just a few too many libations during the Super Bowl), our
manager determined that calling shiners and fatheads
'minnows' makes them feel small and insignificant. In
an effort to show respect to and improve the self-esteem of
these selfless creatures who routinely offer the ultimate
sacrifice (albeit unwillingly) so that we may fish more
successfully, the term 'fishlet' is now being
used. We feel this will make for a more confident bait
on the hook, directly leading to more fish being attracted
to the bait (confidence IS an attractive trait) - and a fish
attracted to a confident bait is a fish in the frying pan.
BE GOOD TO
YOUR FISHLET AND YOUR FISHLET WILL BE GOOD TO YOU!!
