INDIANA:  We offer guided waterfowl hunting.   Indiana Waterfowl Seasons

MICHIGAN:  We offer both guided hunting and fishing as well as unguided opportunities via land lease and duck blind rental.  Some trips in Michigan include lodging, depending on location.

KIDS

LODGING:  If you would like to make use of our cottage for your trip, add to your Package Rate:  $900 per week, $350 per weekend, or $175 per night as appropriate.  This is a 'group' rate.  The cottage sleeps at least six (6) persons.  Click here for lodging details.

GUIDED FISHING PACKAGE

We here in southwestern Michigan are blessed to live in one of the top fisheries in the country.  The St. Joseph River is widely acknowledged as one of the Top 5 steelhead streams in North America, and just about any freshwater fish you can think of is available within 20 miles of our store.

All fishing trips include baits and equipment (except waders).  You are welcome to bring your own gear if you prefer.

For Lake Michigan and River Charters, we will locate and book a local charter captain that can take you out on the date you wish to fish.

UNGUIDED FISHING PACKAGE

An 'Unguided Fishing Package' basically means you want to use our cottage while you take your own boat or fish from shore on your own.  For price information, visit our Cottage Rental page.

GUIDED BEAR PACKAGE

Our guided bear hunts are for individual hunters only and book for one week.  They take place in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan a little south of Marquette.

• We will help you find lodging if you wish

• You must apply and be selected for the GWINN UNIT

• This is a 'bait' hunt.  We do not hunt bear with dogs

GUIDED DEER PACKAGE

Our guided deer hunts take place in southwestern Michigan for a maximum of two (2) hunters.

• We guide for all legal deer seasons

• You may choose a daily, weekend or weekly hunt

• For liability reasons, we do NOT use tree stands

• Ground blinds will be provided for you

• We scout the property for you

• We can either sit with your or put you in the right spot and leave you to hunt on your own

UNGUIDED DEER PACKAGE

We have 

• Available for archery, gun and muzzleloader seasons

• You may choose a daily, weekend or weekly hunt

• For liability reasons, we do NOT use tree stands

• You provide your own ground blinds

• We can tell you the historically good spots, but we will not actively scout for your hunt

In most cases, you should be able to drive your gear to or near your hunt site if you choose.  However, you should be prepared to walk your gear in if it's wet or otherwise requested by the farmer.

DAMAGE DEPOSIT:  In addition to the regular rate, a 'Damage Deposit' of $250 per party will be required on all 'unguided' hunts.  This deposit is intended to protect the farmer against any undue damage to his crops (to include leaving ruts in a no-till field), buildings or equipment.  When your hunt is over, we will inspect the property and if we find no problems your deposit will be sent back immediately.  If we find damage or trash, we will keep some or all of your deposit and send you a letter detailing why.  You will then be allowed to rebut our decision to convince us to return your full deposit.  Any deposit money kept will go to the farmer to help offset any costs for crop loss or needed repairs.

GUIDED DUCK PACKAGE

We have multiple locations at which we can guide you for ducks, but our first choice is always our blind on North Lake of the Grand Mere chain.  The blind itself rests less than 1/2 mile from Lake Michigan.

Early in the year you'll take mallards, wood ducks and maybe some teal, while later in the year several varieties of both puddle and diver ducks can be taken.

The blind is solidly built and will keep you warm and dry (as much as possible).  You will NOT need waders.

We provide:

• Calling

• Dog (although your dog is welcome if you prefer)

UNGUIDED DUCK PACKAGE

You will be hunting our sturdy duck blind on North Lake in the Grand Mere chain.  The blind itself sits less than 1/2 mile off Lake Michigan and has a 'boat garage' to camouflage your boat while you hunt.

SPECIAL NOTE:  If you choose to use our cottage, it is only about 1/2 mile south of the boat launch you'll use to get to the blind.

DAMAGE DEPOSIT:  In addition to the regular rate, a 'Damage Deposit' of $250 per party will be required on all 'unguided' hunts.  This deposit will allow us to make any repairs necessary after use by persons not hunting with a guide should they cause damage to the blind during their hunt.  When your hunt is over, we will inspect the blind and if we find no problems your deposit will be sent back immediately.  If we find damage or trash, we will keep some or all of your deposit and send you a letter detailing why.  You will then be allowed to rebut our decision to convince us to return your full deposit.  Any deposit money kept will be used for needed repairs.

GUIDED ELK PACKAGE

Our guided elk hunts book for one week and are held in northern Michigan in or near Cheboygan County.

• We will help you find lodging if you wish

• You must apply and be selected for an elk tag

GUIDED GOOSE PACKAGE

We field hunt (mostly) Canada geese from September 1 through the end of February and have over 4,000 acres available to us in two counties for the purpose.  We can get you out for the special five-bird-per-day seasons in September and January, or for the regular seasons from October through December.  For the most part, we hunt out of temporary blinds.

We provide:

• Dog (although your dog is welcome if you prefer)

UNGUIDED GOOSE PACKAGE

We have four fields in Berrien County on which we can allow hunters to hunt without a guide.  Two fields are near the St. Joseph River while the third is just off Paw Paw Lake and the fourth on the Paw Paw River.  Each of these fields has produced nice numbers of geese in the past. 

If all fields are available, we will put you in the one most likely to get birds on that given day.  If we have multiple parties, we will give the first party to book first choice, and so on.

In most cases, you will be able to drive into your field to drop off your gear.  However, if the weather has been wet or the farmer requests, you may have to walk your gear out to where you want to hunt so be ready in case that's the way it has to be.
